Exclusive: Language Testing Changes for Overseas Nurses ‘Could be in Place Before End of Year’
The UK is running into some difficulties with recruiting overseas nurses due to a mandatory language test that is too hard. In an exclusive report, Nursing Times says changes to the test could come about by the end of the year to help speed up the recruiting process.

Google’s New App Is All About Hiring and Managing Job Applicants
Along with everyone else in the media, Jonathan Vanian of Fortune Magazine wrote about how, finally, Google officially launched Google Hire, its recruiting app for small-to-medium sized companies.

Despite the Recruitment Tech Revolution, Human Recruiters Get a Raise
Good news for recruiters. According to a June 2017 Glass Door Local Pay Report recruiters can expect an 8.4% pay increase in 2018. Tess Taylor of HR Dive says regardless of the HR tech revolution, good recruiters will be in demand (at least through the near future) and compensated for understanding how technology can enhance the recruitment experience for candidates.

Mike Wolford of Recruiting Daily breaks down AI into 3 groups: Chatbots, AI Assisted Searches, and Automated Assistant. He speaks to several experts about the future of recruiting and AI and one of his conclusions is that in the short term recruiters aren’t out of a job just yet. But, AI is something they need to pay attention to, because the long term outlook might not be so positive.
